Avery is a ceramic sculptor currently living and making at The Glastonbury Collective in Northwest Detroit. After finishing her BFA in Art History and Ceramics at Wayne State University Avery attended a series of residencies. Traveling to Guldagerrgaard Ceramic Research Center, C.R.E.T.A. Rome and the International Ceramic Studio in Hungary throughout  2021-2022.

After returning to Detroit Avery worked with Metro Food Rescue, a non profit distributing food to pantries & kitchens  across the Detroit Metro area. In 2023 Avery joined Pewabic Pottery as a glaze technician. In her free time Avery continues her practice in clay, exploring everyday objects and furthering her work in sculpture.
